The other day I went to a local teacher's training center where some of the most gorgeous Bradford Pears you will ever see were in full flower.  I'm happy that the lighting and weather came together perfectly, since these trees do not say beautiful for long.  In fact, yesterday they were already starting to lose their petals as can be seen in this first picture.

I made the front page of etsy today with my piece "Swallowed a Bug." This is very exciting when you consider the vast number of people using that site. I may not have made a sale from it, but about 22 people like it enough to "heart" at least one piece in my shop. That in and of itself is very exciting. Fourth of July weekend wanderings led past the stunning cemetery at Old Brick Church (est 1788) in Ebenezer, South Carolina.  While it was scattered with a few modern headstones, this small cemetery was by and large older headstones spanning a vast number of years.  For the most part the graves indicated access to a certain amount of wealth that while not excessive, was certainly above the norm.

Today I had intended to return to my Ashevillian haunt Riverside Cemetery, but a spur-of-the-moment GPS search directed me to Green Hills Cemetery and Memorial Park, a mere 3.1 miles from Riverside, instead. To be frank, Green Hills was a bit of a risk. Not only was a shooting with a high noon (well high-1pm) sun, but to add harsh lighting to an unknown landscape is not always the best of ideas.
