projects: artifacts

I have been gone a long time folks, but that doesn't mean that I have not been busy.  From May - December last year I photographed artifacts for the Cashiers Historical Society and the Zachary-Tolbert House.  Systematically I went through their detached kitchen and photographed every item within - top, bottom, ID number, identifying marks, item damage, and another detail shots.  These shots were then used by CHS' curators in their object catalog.  Photographs taken in such a manner are useful for identification purposes, but also can be very useful in the case of theft or natural disaster. Below are some of the more artistic detail shots taken during this project.
